Home Heating Oil Prices and The Cheaper Ways To Heat Your Home

You cannot fail to have noticed the prices of oil over recent years has continued to rise, and this is putting a lot of people under immense pressure to be able to afford to heat their home. Home heating is a core need, and the oil companies know this, therefore they can set the prices to what ever they think they can still get people to pay for, and we simply have no choice but to pay! Or do we ?

Put simply, yes, you do have a choice and not only will it mean lower heating bills, you will helping the environment and the economy at the same time! what I'm talking about is pellet heating. Now you may not be aware what a pellet stove, pellet boiler or even a pellet is, so here is a brief summary. Pellet fuel is made from compressed wood, however it can be made from grass, straw and hundred of other very available and cheap sources of energy which can be grown and processed into pellets locally. Below is a video of our pellets boiler.

Due to the constant rise in heating oil prices, we decided to look at alternatives to heat our home, therefore we choose a wood pellet boiler. After months of research into the best pellet boilers, we finally choose an Italian wood pellets boiler which can burn just about any form of pellet fuel without complications and even logs if we wanted to. However the point with pellets is, its very similar to running our old oil boiler, apart from a small amount of cleaning and filling the boiler, the system runs automatically, keeping the house a nice temperature. The boiler can start its self with fuel and start the fire running from a wall thermostat just like our old oil boiler, the only real difference is the amount we now spend on heating our home is about half that we would spend on oil.

Avoid Home Heating Oil Prices, The Government Will Pay For Biomass

As burning wood pellets and other biomass pellets does not contribute to global warming, the government will actually help to pay for the installation of a pellet stove or pellet boiler, and in the future will pay you to use wood pellets!

Wood Pellets Prices, Stoves and Boilers Can Help The Home Economy

With oil we are dependant on foreign states to provide us with the oil, its over priced, and we send money out of the country with no benefit for the common man. However with wood and biomass, we can produce them locally. Locally made fuel provides jobs, a secure form of fuel at reasonable prices and also the money is kept locally within the economy. Add to that the environmental benefits of using pellets compared to oil, and the benefits are clear. However, as home pellet heating is such a new concept to many people, making the change can be very daunting. We therefore created this guide to help people choose the best stoves and boilers, so people never again have to think about home heating oil prices, and we can all start to see the benefits of solid biomass fuel.
