NEWS : Solida Wood Pellet Stove From Calimax Performance Results The heat output range of the Solida is between 8 and 10Kw's. One of the core markets Calimax are trying to target with the Solida is the consumer who is looking for a more stylish pellet stove, to match the decor of the room. Therefore the Solida is available in 10 different colours in steel or ceramic. As you would expect from Calimax, the Solida has all the automated features and abilities it needs to compete with the likes of Harman and Breckwell. However, one of the areas the Solida and all other Calimax stoves fall short compared to Harman and Breckwell is they pellet feeder and burn pot design. The Calimax range just inst as equipped to deal with high ash content fuels and possible clinker formations. However, an area where the Solida really shines is its efficiency rating of just over 90%, which is impressive. With such a high efficiency rating the Calimax Solida is getting the best use of your pellet fuel reducing costs. |

The Other Features and Abilities Of The Calimax Solida Pellet Stove To monitor efficiency and safety of the stove, various censors are used to measure the pressure within the combustion chamber and flue. If a pressure is detected which exceeds the safe operating parameters of the stove, the unit will automatically shut down. The weight of the Solida is actually quite low at around 140Kg, the main reason for this is many of the other stoves are built with cast iron components which add a lot of weight. The stove can hold up to 30 kg of fuel. This is enough fuel to keep the stove running comfortably for a couple of days. The Solid also used ceramic plates to disperse heat from the stove and in to the room. As you would expect, the stove meets all the recommended safety requirements, and some extra features such as child safe door locks. In summary the Calimax Solida is a very stylish stove, and one of the ten colour choices should meet your needs well. However, the stove will only ever be able to cope with premium grade fuel pellets, no lower, cheaper grade pellet fuel. |

Why Is The Ability To Burn Lower Grade Biomass Pellet Fuels Important If you purchase a pellet stove or pellet boiler with a combustion design similar to the Calimax Solida, at some point you will probably run into issues when using some form of pellet fuel. Now currently, these issues will not be a common occurrence as premium wood pellet fuel is fairly plentiful. However, in the future as market demand increases, the price of premium grade fuel could increase, and supply may become an issue. If you have a more flexible pellet burner, these issues will concern you much less, as you will have options. Options to choose for example a locally made pellet fuel from wood or other biomass materials. This way you not only get a cheaper fuel, you also help to support the local area with jobs. All down to buying the best wood pellet burners. Using The PelHeat Guide To Educate Yourself On The Best Stoves We developed the PelHeat guide as an educational resource, as educated consumers are the ones who get the best deals on the best pellet products. |
