Renewable Energy Companies and Fuel Pellet Manufacturers We need to support the new breed of renewable energy companies, for example to growth of wood and biomass pellet fuel manufacturers. The reasons for this is renewable energy can help us with energy independence, reducing carbon emissions and actually supporting our local economy. Firstly we are now all familiar with the term 'green' energy, and the reasons why we need to reduce our our of fossil fuels due to their effect on the global climate. Well, pellet fuel which is made from wood and biomass materials is a green and renewable source of energy. Green because it does not increase carbon emissions as long as we grow more quickly, and hence renewable for the same reason. |

Renewable Energy Companies and Fuel Pellet Manufacturers One of the less discussed benefits of using fuel pellets made locally are the benefits of reducing our dependence on foreign oil. We have been so dependant on a source of energy we simply do not have enough of our own reserves to provide the supply we need. But also with the BP oil disaster, its clear how much of a risk we are taking trying to get these reserves. However, at a time of economic uncertainty, we do need to look at how much money we send over seas for oil. Therefore when people look at renewable energy, they should not just look at a green issue, they should look at it as an economic opportunity. One way to bring economic support to local areas is with fuel pellets, by producing the fuel locally and consuming the the fuel pellets locally. |

Renewable Energy Companies and Fuel Pellet Manufacturers When it comes to manufacturing today, there is this presumption that bigger is always better in terms of keeping costs down. However, this is not true in all cases, and running with this presumption only benefits the big companies. With pellet production, the biggest problem is transportation. Transportation of the raw material to the pellet plant, and the finished pellets to the end user. This transportation increases the carbon footprint of the fuel and increases congestion on our roads. However, if the whole loop can be kept more local, this benefits the end user with a cheaper fuel due to less transportation despite the slightly higher production costs. It can also bring jobs to areas that are in desperate need of jobs. This is what wood and biomass fuel pellets can do. |
