Wood Pellet Boilers Are Used To Heat Larger Properties When it comes to pellet heating, most of the emphasis goes on pellet stoves, however pellet boilers have a significant role to play, in many cases are the only practical solution. Wood pellet stoves provide heat through heating the air, they have a fan which pulls in cold air over the heat exchanger from the fire and then spreads that heat around the room. Some home have ventilation systems to then carry this heat around the home creating a warm environment all around the house. However the pellet stove does have its limits in terms of the volume of space it can provide heat to. Then the only real solution is to install a pellet boiler, this will then work with an existing central heating system for heat. |

Wood Pellet Boilers Provide Heat On A Much Larger Scale The wood pellet boiler can then provide heat via standard radiators or under floor heating. The pellet boiler can be connected up directly to the system, however a more efficient method is to use a buffer tank. Instead of the wood pellet boiler trying to heat you entire home, the pellet boiler will just heat the buffer tank which will hole a volume of water sized to the property. The water in the buffer tank will always be kept a set temperature by the wood pellet boiler. Your central heating system will then pull water from the buffer tank when required to reach the desired temperature within the home. There are several advantages to such a system. Firstly it reduces the lag time between you wanting heat and the pellet boiler been up to the temperature required. |

Wood Pellet Boilers Can Provide Pellet Heat For Schools Through our work promoting the use of a wider range of pellet fuels we come across many different ideas of how to use wood and biomass more efficiently to provide heat. In terms of reducing cost and carbon emissions the target is to reduce raw material and pellet transportation. Therefore we have help to support various projects. For instance one project was to install a wood pellet boiler in a school and use local wood products processed locally into pellets to fuel the boiler. This a prime example of how everyone can benefit. The school gets a cheaper heating fuel, local wood wastes are removed and local employment is generated in collecting the wood and producing the fuel pellets. However as always I like to point out this is just one example, of one biomass material. Please click the link below for more information on pellet boilers. |
